Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, also called Ashanti, was born on the 13th of October, 1980 in Glen Cove New York United States. She is an American singer-songwriter and actor. Ashanti became famous as an teen. In 2002, she signed with Murder Inc. Records. In the same year, she made an appearance on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? Ja Rule's track, Always On Time and Fat Joe's What's Luv? In the case of Foolish and What's Luv being at number one and her first number one hit, she was the only female artist to be featured in two tracks that were in the Billboard Hot 100 chart top 10 of the United States. She has acted in the movies Christmas in the City as in Army Wives. Her song Rock wit U was sampled by British rapper Aitch to accompany his track Baby in March 10, 2022.
